Complete the red-and-blue grid without breaking the no-three, balance, or unique-row rules. Its score is for play and does not measure IQ.
Learning goal
Practise spotting row and column patterns, eliminating possibilities, and keeping several rules in mind at once.
This is a playful reasoning activity. It does not provide an IQ score, psychometric assessment, diagnosis, intelligence ranking, or age ranking.
How to play
- Begin with a small board such as 4 × 4.
- Select an empty tile once for red, twice for blue, and a third time to clear it.
- Avoid three matching colours in a row or column, balance both colours in every line, and do not repeat a complete row or column.
- Tap tiles on a touchscreen. With a keyboard, use Tab and the arrow keys to move, then Enter or Space to change a tile.
Note for parents and teachers
Play the first round together. Instead of giving the answer, ask, “Which rule would this colour break here?” A short 10–15 minute session is enough.
